Performance
The Mercedes-Benz GLB offers up two engine options, with one coming exclusively with the AMG model. Slotting in as the base engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 that makes 221 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Clemmons drivers interested in getting a bit more power can look to the AMG model. The AMG GLB 35 comes outfitted with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine that makes 302 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. In its most basic configuration, the Mercedes-Benz GLB comes with front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is an upgradeable option. The AMG model comes standard with all-wheel drive, as well. All engines pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Technology
The Mercedes-Benz GLB leaves little to be desired in the tech realm, providing Mount Airy drivers with dual 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display even at the base trim level. The Mercedes-Benz GLB also includes Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, a 115-volt outlet, and a voice-activated MBUX system. If you're looking for increased tech, then you'll have to opt for some separate packages. The Premium package replaces the standard 7-inch touchscreens with 10.25-inch versions. The Premium package also adds multimedia system that includes navigation with augmented reality. Other notable additions include a Burmester surround-sound system, satellite radio, and a head-up display. The AMG model comes standard with the dual 10.25-inch infotainment displays.
Interior
With only three trim levels to consider, the Mercedes-Benz GLB keeps the interior features concise. The base GLB 250 trim comes outfitted with dual-zone automatic climate control, faux-leather trimmed seats, a host of driver assistance features, and a powered tailgate. You'll once again have to opt for packages if you're looking to deviate from the standard offerings that come with the GLB. Drivers can look forward to a panoramic sunroof, multi-contour front seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated seats. The AMG GLB 35 trim level adds leather/simulated suede upholstery and a flat-bottom steering wheel.
Safety
The Mercedes-Benz GLB covers its bases in the safety world by providing Lexington drivers with a mix of classic safety equipment and modern driver assistance features. The base trim of the GLB comes standard with blind- spot monitoring, forward-collision mitigation with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and adaptive braking with hill start assist. There are also several upgrades to be had, including parking assistance, self-parking, a 360-degree camera system, and hill start assistance. Classic safety features include seat belts and airbags.
